How do mini-sessions and regular sessions differ?

A regular photography session is sixty to ninety minutes in length and is at the location and time of your choice. A mini-session is twenty minutes in length and is conducted at specific locations and times.

All sessions include a proofing session in our residential office.

May I book multiple sessions?

Yes, this is our super-session option. Your "behind-the-camera" time will be 40 minutes and this will also be at a specific location and time. You also receive an extra 5x7 print.

What is the cost?

A mini-session is $125 and a super-session is $175. The session fee is due at the time of booking and is payable by Visa or Mastercard, or checks to EM Photography.

What happens if it rains?

In case of rain, sessions will be held on our rain dates. Overcast days make for really nice pictures so unless there is actual rain, there should be no problem. If you have any questions about weather, please call us at 214-202-6521.

What to wear?

The most important thing is for everyone to be comfortable. Family members should wear complimentary colors tones and similar styles. Adults photograph best in long sleeves. Blue is a favorite color family and looks great on every complextion. Dark brown and navy are great alternatives to black as they do not lose their dimension and texture in a photograph. Solids are always a safe choice and simple details like v-necks, vests or ruffled sleeves give a boost to classic looks. Texture photographs well - linen, corduroy, cabled knits and even denim are nice options. Remember, simple is always good and bare feet are fun for everyone!

Below are some samples from last year's holiday cards that EMP offered. I am offering some of the same styles this year and there will also be at least 10 new cards templates to choose from. All cards can be personalized, some colors can be customized also.

NEW - The cards will be 5x7 press-printed flat cards and will be printed on a slightly glossy, high-quality stock paper. They are an elegant upgrade to your standard photographic card.

Another choice will be to order selected designs from Stacy Claire Boyd and have 4x6 prints made to insert in the card. I have a representative from SCB that will provide samples which I will post in the next few weeks, along with pricing for her cards. It's that time of year - are you ready for holiday photos? The mini-shoots are booked every 20 minutes starting on the hour. If you are interested in a super-session, you will book back-to-back minis. I will book a limited number of sessions so check your schedules now. If the times and dates don't work for you, I am continuing to take regular bookings through Nov. 1st. Any orders placed after Nov. 7th will not be guaranteed for holiday delivery.

What is a Mini-Session? A Super-Session?

Mini-Sessions are held at various outdoor locations at specific times throughout the pre-holiday season. The purpose of this session is to get a great family picture for holiday cards and some holiday photo gifts. The sessions are 20 minutes in length and you will have 8-10 final images to choose from.

Details - $125.00:
1. Sessions are available at the locations and times on the schedule only.
2. Length of session will be 20 minutes.
3. Various holiday card options to choose from - see card sample post for specifics.
4. Session fee, 50 cards and envelopes, and one 5x7 print are included. (Value over $150 alone.)
5. An online slideshow of your images.
6. Payment is required to hold your spot.

A Super-Session is a mini-session times two. This session is for you if you have a more than one young child or 4 or more children. It is also a good choice if you would like individual pictures of your children, along with family pictures. These sessions will last 40 minutes and I will present you with 15-20 final selections. The cost for the super-session will be $175 and you will also get an additional 5x7 print from your session.
